Late game (and Merry Christmas)
I've used the time this afternoon to finalize some endgame level improvements. The last level of the main dungeon is now generated in a different way, making it much more interesting, I hope. Meeting Eris is, after all, the climax of the game (at least in Coffeebreak mode; in Story mode it's "just" an important chapter), and just lava was a bit boring. We DO still have the lava level, but it's level 19 now, not level 20. So the layout I previously used for levels 17 and 19 is now only used for level 17, which is good (because more variation is always good in a roguelike).
I have also started to set up a completely new website for LambdaRogue. It will go online once I've created the trailer video, which will be very shortly before release of update 1.7. Which should be in a few days. Yesterday I received the final tiles of the new 40x80 tileset (new monsters, yeah!), and I'm really just rounding up everything now.
By the way, I want to say "thank you" to all who've donated for the game so far. Much appreciated! I hope you'll like the new update.
I don't know if anyone is actually reading my devlog posts, but in case you are, I wish you a Merry Christmas :)
